Yesterday I launched @KinderKoins, inspired by the video of Cha-Ching Money Smart Kids. Learning how to be responsible with money, fits learning about value of goods and what they represent at warenhuisje.nl
The interest and use of COMMUNITY CURRENCIES is rising, especially with building communities and trying to keep the value within the community (so it can strengthen).

A few months ago I had a conversation with @OpenDictator about the MICRO STARTUP way of beginning. I believe in the advantages of just taking action, even very small ones. One of the things you can read on the back of my business card is NO ACTION NO ANYTHING.
So instead of keeping ideas on the drawing board or doing months of research first, I put them out in the open and develop at a pace that’s determined by the events that happen, people I meet, opportunities that arise. “It’s like being in PERMANENT BETA” said @Opendictator. That’s right!

warenhuisje.nl is a STARTUP IDEA that I have. “Warenhuisje” is Dutch and translates to ‘little department store’. It’s an online department store targeting the Dutch and Flemish market (there’s also warenhuisje.be), where you can buy sustainable, fair trade products for children.
IMAGINE you have a 7 year old daughter, who has been talking non stop about wanting a pair of red boots. Obviously there are many options open to you, both offline and online. Why not turn this activity into a LEARNING EXPERIENCE for your daughter and maybe even for yourself?
